Yes it is marked as an A road. But it is narrow, extremely quiet, covered with a brand new surface, and most importantly the views over the loch and the hills are incredible.

From Fort William you can join this road with a brisk hop on the ferry (£3.30pp with a bicycle, call them to schedule a ferry any time you need it). On the other end the only choice is the motorway.
