Hühnermoor Nature Reserve
The Hühnermoor is Harsewinkel's oldest nature reserve and offers unique flora and fauna.
The Hühnermoor, the oldest nature reserve in Harsewinkel, which is located directly on the R 1, is a relic of a 4,000-year-old raised moor landscape.
This is all the more worth seeing since the habitat of the unique fauna and flora with rare plants and animals is being cared for through targeted measures. A visit to the Hühnermoor in June when the cotton grass is in bloom is particularly attractive.
We recommend a one-hour hike starting at the Marienfeld local history museum or a two-hour hike starting at the monastery church.
Please understand that you are not allowed to ride your bike on all paths in the nature reserve. Some of the paths are difficult to pass for wheelchair users.
