Graswang is a district of the municipality of Ettal. The church village of Graswang may have been settled as early as the time of the Germanic tribes. In the land register of Duke Ludwig the Strict around 1270, "five unnamed Schwaigen in the Ammergau district" are listed, which presumably refers to the farms in Graswang and Linder. Old wooden farmhouses and houses decorated with artistic gables characterize the village. More information at:
