In Heenvliet, behind the gate of the Ambachtsherenhuis, lies a 5-hectare estate with the beautiful Ruïne Ravesteyn as its centrepiece. This was once the castle of the Lord of Heenvliet and is one of the few remaining buildings from the Middle Ages. A moat surrounds the ruin and the whole is surrounded by an English landscape garden. Nature and history determine the atmosphere here. Every year, a sculpture garden is organised on the estate, where art can be seen in the beautiful garden surrounding the ruin.
