The majestic Basilica stands at the crossroads between Italy and Switzerland, in the precise place where the Madonna appeared back in 1504 to Mario Omodei from Tirana. The sixteenth-century sanctuary with three Latin cross naves is the most important example of the Renaissance in Valtellina.
