The Taberg is unique on our planet, consisting of a chunk of iron ore protruding from the ground, which was formed 1200 million years ago. 1000 m long, 450 m wide and a good 100 m high, measured from Taberg train station. The ore consists of titanomagnetitolivenite, the iron content is low, only about 30%. The quality is all the better because it also contains relatively large amounts of titanium and vanadium.
