The chapel was built around 1490. It was first mentioned in a document in 1513. Renovations took place in 1986 and 1990.

Cycling
Saint Wolfgang was considered the patron saint of travelers in remote areas. The chapel was renovated and the foundations drained. For security reasons, the valuable altar is in the Friedenskirche in Bürs.
