The new route was necessary due to the construction of the Altwiesloch flood retention basin in this area. The new bridge is a real gem and I think changing the side of the Leimbach also improves the route a little. The work is not quite finished yet and the area after the culvert is also to be ecologically upgraded as part of the construction work. I am excited to see what it will look like when it is "finished".
