ALLINGAWIER - The church of Allingawier is for sale. "The reason for this is not primarily the stay of visitors due to the corona measures, but we need funds in the short term to try to solve the mismanagement of the previous board," says Elsbeth Attema, who was recently responsible for the Frisian Museum Village Aldfaers Erf together with Ferk Schakel. If the financial situation has improved, the Cultural History Museum in Allingawier will be more likely to cope with the setbacks in the near future. "A real crisis is not a problem for now. In this respect, a comparison with Galamadammen, for example, is flawed," says Attema. "We hope to be able to move forward on a slightly smaller scale, although we recognize that it is precisely our primary target group, the elderly, who will not come in large numbers. We will rely on the passers-by." The Frisian Museum Village Aldfaers Erf will reopen on July 14. In the open-air museum you can see and experience how people lived and worked a hundred years ago, including in the museum farm De Izeren Ko, the Word and Sculpture Church, where an impressive sound and image performance about creation is shown, the Expo Church with a changing exhibition of paintings, the Drabbelkoekenbakkerij,
