in 2016 the square was remodeled - the surface was renewed, lighting, a fountain, and places for rest were installed. In the same year, during the reconstruction of the square, a valuable find was discovered. Massive fragments of the cathedral churchyard gate were found buried underground. After announcing Teofilii Matulionis as blessed, the municipality of Kaišiadorių district opened the square in 2017. gave the name of Blessed Theophilus.
