First, Martinez is delightful lots of shops and the train station is just nostalgic however, rebuilt. The wide 2 lane bike over the bridge makes it. much nicer than the Antioch bridge (which I wouldn't recommend), from there it's a steep downhill into Benicia, so you'll have to "gear up" going back, but definitely worth it. Benicia is equally charming, and you have a public restroom at the end of second street that has one of the more delightful 360 views!
