Hiking
They are traditional boats made by the locals and typical of Bled.
Their origins go all the way back to 1590 and you can recognize them by their colorful canvas roofs that protect passengers against sun and precipitation.
The boat is steered by a “pletnar”, a skipper who takes the passengers safely to the island with a special rowing stroke.
A crossing costs €15 for adults and €8 for children aged 4-12 (August 2023).
