It is said that the layout of Killagholehane Church was marked out in a July snowfall when no decisions could be agreed upon about its location. The church was eventually dedicated to Our Lady of the Snows. Here you can also find an important Republican cemetery with the names of local people who died during the War of Independence remembered on a headstone.
