Logan Turnpike Trail begins where the Appalachian Trail trailhead is at Tesnatee Gap. There used to be trail access at the southern end of the Logan Turnpike Trail, but property boundaries have made it to where the trail can only be accessed via the northern trail terminus. The trail, itself, is much less trafficked than the neighboring Appalachian Trail, and it offers a real wilderness experience being a more primitive and less maintained trail.
