Piendamó is a Colombian municipality located in the department of Cauca belonging to the metropolitan area of Popayán.
The population of the municipality is distributed mainly between the municipal seat and the corregimiento of Tunía.
Wednesdays, Fridays and especially Saturdays are market days in Piendamó, quite crowded and visited by the Guambiano indigenous people. In turn, Piendamó is a stopover site for those tourists who come from the cities of Cali or Popayán to the town of Silvia.
One of its main tourist attractions are the Sanctuary of the Holy Virgin of Piendamó, the railway bridge, the Aguapanelas viewpoint.
