    The hamlet of Bressane has a square dedicated to Martyrs of the Resistance and a monument has been erected and a plaque placed in memory of the tragedy on the night of 14 October 1944.
    The stone reads:
    “The blaze of ferocity / Nazi-fascist / departed from these fertile and quiet lands / tragic autumn – procession of martyrs / flow of blood / at the wall of Villamarzana / With regret for those young lives / with pride for freedom / redeemed in sacrifice / BRESSANE / commits to future generations / the indelible memory / warning and promise”.
