Piazza Sant'Agostino is the center of historic Carmagnola. In addition to the church of Sant'Agostino that gives it its name, Palazzo Lomellini overlooks the square, today the seat of the Civic Gallery of Contemporary Art. Not far away, the church of San Filippo and that of San Rocco. Behind Sant'Agostino, there are the remains of the ancient ramparts of the city, restored and reused. A short distance from the square, the synagogue, with a museum of Jewish culture - almost hidden, you have to know where it is and go looking for it: from the outside it is not noticeable at all. The square is also surrounded by clubs, bars, restaurants, etc., so it's a great place for a break. Attention: on Saturday there is a market in the center of Carmagnola, the visit could be a bit difficult.
