Works related to the construction of the Luftwaffe naval aviation base in Unieście were carried out mainly in the years 1936 - 1939. During this period, about 30 buildings were built. Among them were, among others, two aircraft hangars, the headquarters building, three interconnected barracks buildings, a canteen, a transformer station, garages for motor vehicles and numerous warehouses (including ammunition). In addition, two concrete slips were prepared, i.e. small ramps descending from land to deep into Lake Jamno, used for launching and pulling seaplanes and flying boats ashore.
