There are two main gravel roads utilized within Cades Cove, Sparks Lane and Hyatt Lane. Sparks Lane is the first turn off that you can take to shorten the longer Cades Cove Loop. What you sacrifice in distance, you don't have to sacrifice in views, though. You still see plenty of wildlife, and you still pass by historical homesteads and cemeteries on this shorter loop.
