    Hiking

This trail intersection is often utilized for making loops in the area. The lower miles of the Bote Mountain Trail (basically the start to this point) are all uphill, but they aren't super steep. Once you pass this trail intersection headed uphill, the path becomes really steep until joining the Appalachian Trail on the ridge.
