Mountain biking

The Obelisk was completed in 1732 as a striking statement of intent to build a grand hall. A key part of the landscape setting for the hall, the Obelisk rises majestically at the end of the South Avenue approach and signals the point where visitors would catch their first glimpse of the imposing mansion.

Originally designed by William Kent, the structure is built of Bath stone and is around 25 metres in height.
