Immortalized Ancient Characters The author of the sculpture, V. Tallat-Kelpša, says that the work of art "Business Flight" is not just a decorative and ornamental sculpture. It also has a symbolic meaning. “It is based on two ancient characters - Icarus and Mercury. The flight of Icarus symbolizes the desire for knowledge, disobedience and disregard for natural laws, while Mercury is the god of commerce, eloquence, travelers, commerce and profit. The figure's body itself forms a figure eight with a heart outline at the top. By nature we are empty creatures and only life gives us fullness, so I leave it to everyone to fill in the blanks in their own mind. The twisted eight has the meaning of infinity and perfection, and in Eastern philosophy eight means wealth”, this is how its author V. Tallat-Kelpša presents the sculpture “Business Flight”.
