There are multiple parking lots in this ski area, but they all cost $5 for a day pass (bring a pen/pencil and exact change, or pay in the cafe if it's open).

You can buy an annual pass instead, if you'd rather. But the most important thing is to remember that the Alaska State Parks parking pass is not valid here, even though the hikes technically go into state park land.

Running

During winter this is a downhill ski and snow-tubing area — no running allowed! But during the summer, this transforms into popular hiking and berry-picking destination. You'll spot other trail runners here too, but you'll need great trail running shoes and solid ankles to to navigate some of the slippery mud spots that crop up in the trail.

Parking costs $5; pay with cash (exact change, bring a pen or pencil to fill out the form) at the kiosk. If the nearby cafe is open, you can usually pay with a credit card in there.
