This is the most westerly of the four trailheads along the Turnagain Arm Trail. Parking costs $5, or you can purchase an annual Alaska State Parks pass for free parking.

The stretch of dirt trail between here and the next trailhead (McHugh Creek) offers the firmest footing of all the Turnagain Arm Trail sections, although there may be lingering spots of slick mud. Be careful: Bear sightings are very common here.
