The church / chapel, consecrated to Jesus Christ the Savior (Salvator), has such an impressive atmosphere with its mosaic design that it will cast a spell on every visitor. Simply fascinating!

The Erlöserkirche Mirbach is the Catholic church of the small Eifelortes Mirbach, a district of the community Wiesbaum. It was built in 1902 by Ernst Freiherr von Mirbach, chamberlain and friend of Kaiser Wilhelm II. The church is considered a "remarkable contribution to the neo-Roman construction era in the Eifel" and is a prime example of the Wilhelmine-Neo-Prussian historicism.

With the Savior Chapel of Mirbach built a church, which were called as other churches because of their imposing nature as Eifeldom. The building quotes historical, but was also a symbol of the new imperial period. The gable-crowned Vierungsturm is like St. Peter in Sinzig. The transepts are private chapels of the founders, the Redeemer Chapel a castle chapel without a castle.
