Once founded in 1818, the Cannstatter Volksfest is now one of the largest and most beautiful folk festivals in the world. Thanks to its attractions, it attracts around four million visitors to the Baden-Württemberg state capital Stuttgart every year. The Cannstatter Wasen, the 37 hectare festival area along the Neckar, becomes an intercultural meeting point.
