The Black Forest Railway Adventure Trail introduces hikers and walkers on this trail to the history of the construction and ongoing operations of the Black Forest Railway between Hornberg, Triberg and St. Georgen. The visitors are taken on a panoramic tour, which tells the eventful and exciting history of the Black Forest Railway in the most interesting section of the route using clear examples and brings it to life.

Children, young people and families learn in a playful way what effort it took to drill the railway line through the hard granite. Anecdotes and stories report on life along the railway line and provide a look behind the scenes. Thanks to authentic inventory, the route is also a special experience for railway fans.

The Black Forest Railway Adventure Trail is divided into two tours, which can also be directly connected to each other. The starting and ending points of both tours are Triberg train station, where the steam locomotive 50 245 can be admired in the forecourt. The paths can also be reached via the Hornberg and St. Georgen hiking trails. There are various stops along the way that deal with the main topics of the Black Forest Railway.
