The Monument to the Soldier's Deed, located on Tadeusza Stariec Square, was unveiled on September 2, 1979, on the 40th anniversary of the German attack on Poland. It primarily commemorates the heroism of the POWs of Camp Oflag II C Woldenberg, the largest camp for officers. It was located less than a kilometer from Dobiegniew.
