Square top mountain reaches up to 13,794 feet and is a tough (but safe) hike on the border of Pike and Arapaho National Forests. You have the chance to view a number of alpine lakes when traveling up Square Top, and the summit has a direct view of Shelf Lake tucked under the cliffs of Decatur Mountain in a cool alpine cirque.
