The Sotiras (!) cave is located about 3 km from Sami and is part of the region's extensive karst system.
It is known for its
impressive stalactites and stalagmites. Inside, after approx. 190 meters, there is a large domed chamber into which sunlight falls through an opening on the surface.
On the surface above the
cave are the remains of the old orthodox church of Sotira.
Unlike the well-known show caves, the exploration of the Sotiras cave is reserved for more experienced cavers, as it features steep descents of up to 25 meters.
