The church was built in 1753. Kalvii in 1773. a Dominican priest lived, later clergy came from Jiezno. 1792 the church burned down. In the care of Tomas Vavžeckis and his wife Juzefa in 1800-1806. the present brick church was built. After 1870 rebuilt by fire, 3 altars installed. Priest Feliksas Žukas preached in Lithuanian, but after his death, in 1890-1896 there were no Lithuanian services in the church. 1897 priest Ignotas Šopara, in addition to Polish, also held Lithuanian services, which were not abolished later. 1912-1914 operated a branch of the Lithuanian Catholic Temperance Society. 1936 the church has been renovated.
