To the left and right of the path, remains of the historic fortifications are clearly visible. It consisted of a 6 m wide and 2 m deep ditch, behind which a wall with battlement of earth and oak trunks was built. The height was about 4-5 m. For the construction of the approximately 2 km long fortification about 40,000 oak logs were required. The entire complex was destroyed by a huge fire. Unfortunately, much of the wall was destroyed by gravel mining and a landfill irretrievable.
