The Willis Gulch Trailhead is off of State Highway 82 and has plenty of parking. There is a bridge at the back of the parking lot giving access to the trails in the area, and there is a trail sign pretty soon on the trail with mileages for most of the well known hiking trails intersecting here.

The trail gets to work right away with an uphill climb. This is a common starting point for runners headed up Hope Pass.
