Møns Klint is a very popular destination, at least in summer. There is a paid parking lot. It's very crowded and bustling at the geo-information center with shop and exhibition, as well as the playground and picnic area.

We first walked through the forest at the height of the cliff edge. There were fewer people and there were great views of the chalk cliffs. If you are traveling with children, you should keep an eye on them. Because not every dangerous spot on the trailer is secured. The descent to the beach is via a long scaffolding of wide wooden stairs. The approx. 80 vertical meters of descent are long but safe to walk on.

The beach consists of coarse stones. There is a wide fringe of rotting seaweed along the water. The smell is not pleasant. We didn't want to have a picnic down there. Better save yourself the transport. A drinking bottle and an empty backpack for the stones you have collected are completely sufficient for the round.

The beach is not very wide. The flint deposits in the chalk cliffs can be observed well from below.

On our last visit, there was no way of getting dry feet from the beach to the wooden stairs on the stairs for the ascent directly to the parking lot. We had to get out of our hiking boots and

Wade 10 m through calf-deep water with algae stuff. That wasn't so pleasant. It also discouraged many who had descended directly from the parking lot to the beach from entering the beach.

The climb up the wooden stairs is strenuous and drags on. In between there are benches. We climbed barefoot until our feet were dry again and we could change into hiking boots. A small towel would have been useful too.

I really like this place, even if it's a bit crowded.
