In 2019, a young student (Julie Van Espen) disappeared on her way to Antwerp, her body was found a few days later in the canal. Belgium was in shock and many people had had enough of the unnecessary violence that plagues our society.
A year later, Djoels painted a very special tribute to the missed Julie who has inspired many people to fight against abusive and sexual violence.
