Iping Common is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest owned by the Sussex Wildlife Trust. It's a small area of healthland that neighbours Stedham and Trottham Commons, which are similar in nature.

A network of sandy bridleways and footpaths cross through the common, alongside a patchwork of gorse, heather, moor grass, birch and pine. It's also a haven for insects and wildlife with silver-studded blue butterflies, heath sand wasps and dragonflies.
