The hike up to Scalp Mountain goes through a farmers field. You will see contact numbers on one of the gates to give them a call to request permission to pass through their land. As the route is a concrete path all the way to the top it is a more accessible summit to reach. The views from the top are fantastic. On a clear day you can see Sperrins ridge, the Urris Hills, Raghtin More, Bulbin, Slieve Main and Slieve Snaght.
