After the donkey barrier, things get pretty wild here. Visitors to the island obviously prefer to be driven around in golf carts rather than hiking. In any case, parts of the trail are completely overgrown with thorny bushes, so no one cares about maintaining this hiking trail. This should not be underestimated when it comes to climbing. Steep passages with loose stones have to be overcome. We had fun, but doing the whole thing under the Sicilian summer sun is actually not recommended!

Maybe the slightly longer route along the coast would have been easier.
