In Sroczewo, a town on the bank of the Warta River, in the Ostoja Rogalińska Natura 2000 area, unique trees of the pedunculate oak species grow. They form a group of 128 pieces commonly referred to as "Sroczewski Oaks". The most magnificent of them all, Franek, whose age is about 200-220 years. It has a height of 33 m and a circumference of 502 cm. Together with two other oaks growing in the vicinity - Stefek and Antek, it was covered by legal protection, becoming a natural monument. It was here in the years 1968-1972, under "Dęby Sroczewskie" on the Warta River, in the shade of these majestic trees, the outstanding poet, Polish Nobel Prize winner, Wisława Szymborska, together with her friend Kornel Filipowicz, rested.
