    The monument stands on the market square in the center of the town of Recz. In this place, in 1905, a monument in the form of an obelisk with an eagle crowned it stood, commemorating the victims of three wars in the years: 1864, 1866 and 1870-1871. It was probably destroyed during World War II. In its place, a monument "Forever with Poland" has just been erected. The design and execution of the monument belonged to the sculptor Zofia Blińska. The unveiling of the monument took place on July 22, 1985 during the official celebrations of the city's 700th anniversary. The originator of this monument was the then Mayor of the City, Tadeusz Kalinowski. It is an oval placed on three eccentric circles with a stylized inscription "Forever with Poland" and the silhouettes of two soaring eagles. This quite simple symbol of the connection between the region and Poland is, also today, a place of patriotic celebrations.
