The temple is part of the former Cistercian abbey. The current building is the result of a reconstruction carried out in the 19th century. There are no side chapels. The function of the church is currently fulfilled by two bays of the nave and the apse of the former temple. The inside of the apse is the present chancel. Under the presbytery there is a burial crypt, probably related to the donation of Hasso Von Wedel in 1305. Currently, works are being carried out on the complete reconstruction of the monastery temple. An exhibition of objects excavated from the ground was organized near the temple and inside it.
