In Pawigl itself, the so-called “Pawiglhöfe” are known, which give the place its idyllic and rustic character. It consists of a few buildings, including the Pawigler Wirt and the medieval St. Oswald Church. Together with Nieder-, Mitter-, Oberlana and Völlan, Pawigl now forms the municipality of Lana, the seventh largest municipality in South Tyrol.
