For me, the altar cliff is one of the most beautiful stamping points of the Harzer hiking nobility. Also easy to reach by bike via Rolle and the Sommerbergstraße. If you are early enough, you can also find space on one of the two break benches with the incredible view of the Granetalsperre and the small town of Wolfshagen.
