Henry Evan's leased this estate in the late 1800s. He only had one leg and wanted to travel to the west side of the island to enjoy the area with his family. He had this track made to allow him to ride across. Today it's still passable and makes a popular (for Jura) walk across the island to Glenbatrick Bay.
