This is one of the main parking area and trailheads for the Stratton Open Space, a 318 acre area with trails, wildlife habitats, and two reservoirs near North Cheyenne Canon Park. This is a great place for hikers, mountain bikers, and nature enthusiasts. Although there are a few trails that are for mountain bikers only, most are open for all and there is one trail, the Gold Camp Path, that is just for hikers.
