In 1882, the owner of the local printing house, Juliusz Neumann, built the first building, standing at today's 2 Armii Krajowej Street. After 1890, it was rebuilt by the Berlin architect Paul Franke. Almost simultaneously, construction of further tenement houses was started at numbers 4 and 6. The publishing house's offices and bookstore were located on the ground floor of the connected buildings.
Regardless of the owner, the tenement houses form a coherent architectural whole. They were designed on rectangular projections. They were covered with gable roofs. All three tenement houses share similarities in the finishing of window frames with triangular window sills. Numbers 4 and 6 have similar dormers - windows in the roof. The tenement houses are private property, apart from the service points operating there, they can only be seen from the outside.
