Fountain built by Queen Dona Maria I in 1788. It consists of a backrest and a rectangular tank. The backrest is delimited by pilasters at the ends.

The site was an important crossing point on the so-called «Estrada Real» implemented at the end of the 15th century, which connected the port of Vila Nova da Rainha to the thermal hospital of Caldas da Rainha.
It was the route of the royal itineraries and the Court since D. João II, and was also frequently used by D. João V and D. Carlos. From her were works of art such as the «Bridges of S. Bartolomeu» in Vila Nova da Rainha and the «Ponte da Ermida» in Alcoentre.
