The cemetery, located outside the village, covers an area of 2,733 square meters and contains 120 gravestones. From the mid-19th century onward, it also served as a burial site for the Jewish population of the nearby towns of Nickelsdorf and Neudorf near Parndorf.
A synagogue existed in the village, located ten kilometers southwest of Kittsee, as early as 1806. In 1885, Gattendorf was incorporated into the Kittsee Jewish community. (Wikipedia)
