The church was built in the 15th century from irregular blocks, finished with bricks. Destroyed during the Thirty Years' War in 1637. In 1696, the then owner of the village, Hans Kacpar Benckendorff, rebuilt the temple. Perhaps then the sacristy was added on the south side. During the Second World War, the monument did not suffer any major damage.
