A couple long, rugged wilderness trails (Gore Creek Trail and Gore Lake Trail) make their way to Gore Lake in the Eagles Nest Wilderness. The lake is often surrounded by snow well into the summer and is completely sustained by snowmelt. You can camp at the lake, as it is a popular dry season backpacking spot.
